Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. By using the GLN website or becoming a member, you agree to the practices described here.

2. What Information We Collect

Information you provide directly: name, email address, phone number, and professional details submitted through our application or contact forms; payment information processed through our third-party payment provider (we do not store your card details directly); and any information you share in the community platform, event registrations, or communications with us. Information collected automatically: browser type, device information, IP address, and pages visited on our website; cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 6).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to process your membership application and manage your account, communicate with you about events, updates, and community news, facilitate introductions and connections within the GLN community, process payments and send receipts, improve our website and member experience, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Ever.

4. How We Share Your Information

We only share your information with other GLN members, to the extent you choose to share your profile and contact details within the community platform; with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform (payment processors, email tools, event platforms) under strict confidentiality agreements; or if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of GLN and its members.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your membership is active or as needed to provide services. If you cancel your membership, we will retain certain records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, then securely delete or anonymize your data.

6. Cookies

Our website uses cookies to improve your browsing experience and understand how visitors use the site, including essential cookies required for the site to function, analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics), and marketing cookies used to deliver relevant content and track campaign performance. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings or our cookie consent banner when you first visit the site. Disabling certain cookies may affect site functionality.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your personal data, opt out of marketing communications at any time, and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. 8. California Residents (CCPA)

12. Portal Activity and Monitoring

What we record

When you use the member portal, we record certain actions tied to your account. These include the member profiles you open, each time you choose to view a member's contact information, the number and timing of direct messages you send, "We Met" selections, and event RSVPs and attendance.

Why we record it

We use this information to protect members from contact harvesting and spam, to enforce our Member Terms, and to understand how the portal is used so we can improve it.

Automated checks

Our systems flag unusual patterns, such as a high number of contact views in a short period or the same message sent to many members. A flag alerts GLN administrators, who review the activity before taking any action. We don't suspend accounts automatically.

Your messages

Duplicate message detection is automated. GLN administrators don't read your direct messages unless a message is reported or we're investigating a suspected violation of the Member Terms.

Who can see it

Only authorized GLN administrators can see activity records. Other members can't see which profiles you've viewed, and you can't see who has viewed yours. We don't sell this information or share it with third parties for their marketing. Service providers that host and operate the portal process it on our behalf.

How long we keep it

We keep activity records for 12 months, or longer if they relate to an open investigation or the law requires it.

Your choices

You control which contact details other members can see through the Visible and Hidden settings on your profile. Send questions or requests about your activity records to info@globalleadershipnetwork.co.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top and notify members via email or a notice on the site. Continued use of GLN after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
